WILMA DEAN COX

Ms. Wilma Dean Cox, age 81 of the Meadows Grove Community passed away on Saturday at the Williamsburg Health and Rehab Center in Williamsburg.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Bill King and Rev. Johnny Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the King Meadows Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-9pm at the funeral home.

Wilma was born in McCreary County, KY on August 28, 1930 to the late Ed and Ella Ramsey King. She was married to Henry C. Cox on October 16, 1954 and Henry passed away on May 9, 2004. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by 2 sons, Garry Wayne and Darry Cox. 3 brothers, Clell, T.J. and Gaylon King, as well as 3 sisters, Ida Stephens, Susie Taylor and Rilly King.

Survivors include 3 sons, Jerry Cox of Pine Knot, Larry Cox and his wife Carma of Georgia and Barry Cox and his wife Terri of Stearns. There are 5 grandchildren, Misty Sherman, Erica Creekmore, April Cox, Rita Gail Mulligan and Brittany Bell. And 7 great grandchildren, Nathan, Chase, Alexis, Noah, Samantha, McKenzie and Lucas.

Wilma was a homemaker and enjoyed listening to the Sunday radio broadcast of the Meadows Grove Baptist Church.
