Wiley Victor Spradlin, Jr.

Wiley Victor Spradlin, Jr. age 66 of Whitley City, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at his home.

He was born June 8, 1957 in Jellico, Tennessee to the late Wiley Vander Spradlin and Christine (Watters) Spradlin. In addition to his parents, Junior is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann (Childers) Spradlin, brothers, Roy Lee Spradlin and Clarence Edward Spradlin, and a brother-in-law, Darrell Jones.

Surviving family include his brothers, Paul Spradlin (and Karen) of Whitley City, Roger Spradlin (and Tanra) of Whitley City, and Jerry Spradlin (and Beverly) of Stearns; his sisters, Mary Ann Keith (and Kelby) of Whitley City, Betty Keith (and Dale) of Pine Knot, Loretta Jones of Stearns, Linda Ball (and Eddie) of Whitley City, and Brenda Bryant (and Gerald) of Whitley City; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Junior was of the Baptist faith and spent over 40 years of his life trucking. He started out working as a truck driver for a company in the '70's and later owning and operating his own truck. Prior to his wife's passing, she and Junior would travel to different areas. He loved going to Myrtle Beach, Daytona Beach, and Gatlinburg. In his own time, he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be sadly missed, but always remembered for his fun, kind loving, and witty personality.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 8:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday after 6:00 pm until service time. A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at the Nancy Grave Cemetery.
