WANDA DUNCAN COOK

April 24, 1945 — October 13, 2010

Wanda Faye Duncan Cook, also known as "Sis" passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at the Williamsburg Nursing Home in Williamsburg, Kentucky. She was 65 years old.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Seabolt and Rev. Billy Duncan officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Kingtown Cemetery. Visiting will begin Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. until funeral time.

Born April 24, 1945, in McCreary County, she was the daughter of the late James Arthur and Augusta King Duncan. Also preceding her in death are four brothers James Ray, Donald Lee, Moe and Bill Duncan. Surviving family include her husband Glenn Cook whom she married December 25, 1988, her son Darrell Duncan, both of Strunk, Kentucky, a sister Marcella Taylor of Cincinnati, four sisters June Richardson (and companion Delmer Bryant) of Revelo, Sue Carr (and husband Sam) of Williamsburg, Joan "Jody" Privett (and husband Ronnie) of Marsh Creek and Doris "Deannie" Creekmore (and husband Wayne) of Williamsburg, and a brother Bobby Duncan (and wife Regina) of Pine Knot.

Sis was a homemaker and member of the Old White Baptist Church in Pine Knot. She loved her family and had many friends. She was blessed with the gift of love that she shared with everyone she came in contact with.
