Walter Lewis Myers

Lewis Myers age 77 of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed from this life on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at his home.

He was the son of the late Henry Myers and Martha (Hayes) Myers. In addition to his parents, Lewis is preceded in death by a great-grandson, Riley; his brothers, Earnest Ray, Willard, Elbert, and Joe Myers; and sisters, Lois Ann Myers, Melvina Sellers, Rose Caldwell, and Sue Dick.

Surviving family include his wife, Anna (Trammell) Myers whom he married, January 25, 1966; sons, James Lewis "Pete" Myers (and Beth), Tim Myers, and William "Willie" Myers (and Mary) all of Pine Knot; a daughter, Tammy Myers, also of Pine Knot; grandchildren, Amanda Stephens (and Tommie), Tisha Myers, Keisha Housley (and Tyler), Michael Braden, Tiffany Myers, and Brianna Kidd; and great-grandchildren, Peyton, Waylon, Tayler, Xavier, Kinley, Elise, Lennox. 

Also surviving are brothers, Larry Myers (and Kathy) of Alabama, Jerry Myers (and Karen) of Whitley City, and Danny Myers (and Dallas) of Texas; sisters, Louise Brewster Baird of Rugby, Tennessee and Ruth Carter of Pine Knot; a special granddaughter, Kristen Bryant Wesley; a special friend, Rita Mason; and a special friend that was more like a brother, Tommy Spradlin. The family would also like to give a special thank you to Hospice of Lake Cumberland for the care provided. 

Lewis was of the Church of God faith. Prior to his illness, he enjoyed mechanicing and playing pool and baseball. Lewis had also been Captian of the McCreary County Search & Rescue for over 10 years. Lewis also loved to watch sports,wrestling and nascar, and was known on his CB Handle as "McCloud". But above all things, he loved nothing more than being with his grandbabies. 

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Charlie Golden officiating. Burial to follow in the Myers Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday from 6:00 until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
