VIVIAN CAROL MAXWELL

Vivian Carol Maxwell, age 64, of Stearns, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2018, at the UK Chandler Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 12, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Lenville Maxwell officiating.  She was laid to rest at the McCreary Memorial Gardens.  Visitation was Saturday from 12:00 noon until time for services at 2:00 at the funeral home.

Born August, 14, 1953, in Oneida, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Herstle and Vera (Cooper) Swain.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Estel Maxwell and a daughter, Susan Michelle Maxwell.

Surviving family include two daughters: Sarah Sammons (husband Brent) of Richmond, Kentucky, and Amanda Marlow (husband Robbie) of Oneida, Tennessee, a brother: Rick Swain (wife Monika) of West Hampton, New Jersey, and three grandchildren: Benjamin Sammons, Hailey Marlow, and Owen Sammons.

Vivian had worked at Wal-Mart in Oneida for 32 years.  She was the sporting goods department manager.  She was a member of the Second Baptist Church.  She liked to crochet when she was able and was a very good cook, especially at making desserts.  More than anything else, she enjoyed spending time with her precious grandchildren.

Pine Knot Funeral Home assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
