VERSIE TAYLOR

Versie Taylor, age 76, of the Jellico Creek Community of Williamsburg, Kentucky, passed away Friday, February 21, 2014, at the Baptist Health Lexington Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 24, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Harvey Logan and Rev. Clay Cook officiating. Special music will be by Judy Redden, Jennifer Wilson and Bonnie Wilson. She will be laid to rest at the Hayes Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time for services.

Versie was born at Hayes Creek, Kentucky, on October 15, 1937, to the late Athur Verdis and Vina Hazel (Neal) Taylor. She had worked at Boss Glove Company in Oneida, American Bag Company and LeSportsac. She was a member of the Davis Hill Church of God.

Surviving family include a daughter Brenda (and Eddie) Baird of Jellico Creek, a brother Jimmy (and Judy) Meadows of Greyson, Kentucky, and sisters Betty(and Bill) Summitt of Whitley City, Roberta Ledbetter of Parkers Lake, Julie (and Hural) Spradlin of Strunk. She has one grandchild, Nicholas (and Stacey) Baird and two great grandchildren, Parker and Paisley Baird
