TRUIE LYNCH

Ms. Truie Lynch, age 67, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at her home in Pine Knot.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 21, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hilltop Baptist Church with Rev. David Troxell officiating. Burial will be in the Corder Cemetery in Stearns.

She was born in Worley, Kentucky,on March 29, 1940, the daughter of the late James and Margaret Garland Whitehead. She had been a food service employee of Hardee's in Cincinnati before moving home to McCreary County. She was a member of the Hilltop Baptist Church and her favorite pastime was watching game shows, especially Wheel of Fortune.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Russell Shelton, five brothers; Burl, Hubert, Sylvester, Roy Roger, and Russell Whitehead, and three sisters; Mildred Martin, Mary Hester and Zella Whitehead Vaughn.

She is survived by two brothers Thomas Whitehead of South Carolina and S.D. Whitehead of Stearns, a niece whom she loved as a daughter Patricia McCulley and seven children she referred to as her grandchildren: Shania, Christian, Christopher, Devin, Dedra, Nathaniel, and Lilly.
