Thomas V. Walker

Thomas V. Walker, age 78, passed away Friday November 13, 2015 at his home in the Round Top Community of McCreary County.

Mr. Walker was born on September 4, 1937, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Clifford C and Emma J. (Padgett) Walker.  Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother: Dennis James Walker and two sisters:  Jacqueline Craft and Deloris Ann Feltner.

He is survived by his wife Beulah (West) Walker, of Strunk, Kentucky,  two sons: Thomas Glenn “Butch” Walker (wife Pam) of Oneida, Tennessee, and Thomas Ray Walker, five daughters: Tina Ball of Strunk, Regina Mohr (husband Will) of Knoxville, Tennessee, Becky Duncan (husband Gary) of Strunk, Kentucky, Sherry Slaven (and Mark) of Oneida, Tennessee, and Robin Walker of Strunk.

He has two brothers: David Wayne Walker of Cincinnati, Ohio and Clifford Gordon Walker of Stanford, Kentucky.  He has two sisters: Wanda Gail Sizemore of Chesapeake, Ohio and Vickie Lee Luckadoo of Strunk, Kentucky. 

Thomas and Beulah were blessed with 12 grandchildren:  Kevin Ball (wife Jessica), Crystal Branim (husband Michael), Dana King, Frankie Taylor (wife Emily), Elizabeth Rae Walker, Beth Duncan (husband Chris), Samantha Smith (husband Daniel), Shane Slaven, Brieanna Walker, Jessica Walker, Kate Duncan and Allie Walker and 12 great grandchildren: Nichole Shipley, Sadie, Keyton and Treylon King, Rheanna Chambers, Ryan and Ava Ball, Robert and Rogan Taylor, Little Willie Webb, Zach Branim and Abigail Duncan.

Mr. Walker had been a coal miner having worked for Blue Diamond Coal Company.  He was a member of the Otter Creek United Baptist Church.  He enjoyed fishing, swimming, music and dancing, and gymnastics.  He loved watching movies and westerns.

Funeral services:  11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 17, 2015, Pine Knot Funeral Home Chapel

Burial:  Hill Cemetery, Strunk, Kentucky

Visitation:  Monday, November 16, 2015 from 6 – 9 p.m.
