THOMAS LAXTON, JR

Mr. Thomas Laxton, Jr., age 54, of Pine Knot passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011, at the St. Joseph Hospital in London.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2011, at the East Pine Knot Tabernacle Church of God. Burial will be at the East Pine Knot Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 a€" 9 p.m. at Pine Knot Funeral Home and Thursday from 12:00 noon until funeral service time at the church.

Mr. Laxton was born March 9, 1957, to Thomas and Stella Stephens Laxton. Preceding him in death is his mother Stella Laxton, a brother Troy Laxton, a nephew Dennis Richmond, Jr. and grandparents Fed and Hattie Stephens and T.F. and Laura Laxton.

Surviving family include his children Erica Marie (and Jimmy) Douglas of Winfield, Tennessee, Thomas Jeremy (and Ashley) Laxton of Pine Knot, and Joshua Shane and (Rexanna) Laxton of Pine Knot, grandchildren Destiny and Jeremiah Laxton of Pine Knot and Wesley Douglas of Winfield, TN, brothers and sisters Bonnie Meranda of Bethel, Ohio, Roberta (and Donnie) Lovitt of Strunk, Anthony (and Theresa) Laxton of Pine Knot, Pam (and Jr.) Smith of Oneida, Peggy (and William) Kilby of Pine Knot and Geraldine Laxton of Pine Knot. There are several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other family and friends also surviving.

He worked for Enerfab Construction and had previously worked for Tibbals Flooring Company for 23 years. He was a faithful member of the East Pine Knot Tabernacle Church of God.
