STANLEY GORDON SALYER

Mr. Stanley Gordon Salyer, age 60, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2011, at his home in Somerset.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 10, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Creekmore, Andy Jones and Greg Ryan officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Pine Knot Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Salyer had worked in carpentry and for B.C. Van Conversions in Indiana, as well as having worked at the Solo Cup Factory in Chicago, IL. He was born on January 1, 1951, in Paintsville, Kentucky, the son of James and Geneva (Blevins) Salyer

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Wally Arnold Hall, and a sister Brenda Joyce Kreamer.

He was married to Judy Ann (Creekmore) Salyer on November 23, 1985 in Warsaw, Indiana. Stanley and Judy have a daughter Melissa Raeline Bradley and her husband Lee of Revelo, KY and four sons Stanley Gordon Salyer, Jr., of Leitersford, Indiana, Eric Ray Creekmore of Somerset,KY, Anthony Dale Delap and Sarah of Eubank, Kentucky, James Oral Salyer and Tia of Indiana. He has one surviving brother James Ambrose Salyer and Mary of Burnside and four sisters: Sue Banazak of Somerset, Lynn Dorman Cook of Leesburg, Indiana, of Warsaw, Indiana and Debbie Harmon of Warsaw, Indiana.

There are 26 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
