Silas Gideon Branham, age 86 passed away on Monday January 26, 2009 at his home in Winfield, after a lingering illness.
Born February 19, 1922 to the late Sidney and Cora Branham, he was a member of the Zion Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Bertie Privett Branham, and a brother, Emory Cleophus Branham.
He is survived by one daughter Treda Kay Branham Muse and her husband Rev. Mark Muse of Winfield, and a son, Arnold Bowling and his wife Geneva of Winfield. Grandchildren are Joshua Allen, Bertie Jo (BJ), and Adaya Grace Muse and Brian Bowling. Three sisters, Virgellen Lovitt, and Etta Perry of Waverly Hall, GA and Geneva Ruth Ballenger of Hebron, KY. One brother, Tipton Branham of Waverly Hall, GA. Special friends are Rosetta King, Roger Ward, Bridgett Smith, Wendy Tapley. There are many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1pm at the Zion Baptist Church with Bro. Jonathon Perry, Bro. Timmy Byrge and Bro. Luke Muse officiating. Burial will follow in the Privett Cemetery at Strunk, KY. The family is receiving friends at the family home on Pine Grove Road in Winfield, until time for services on Friday.
