Sherri Lynn Wright

March 21, 1960 — January 13, 2021

Sherri Lynn Wright age 60 of Stearns, Kentucky passed from this life on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. 

She was born March 21, 1960 to Carrol Nelson and Lois (King) Nelson Carter. Upon the early passing of Carroll, Sherri was raised by the man she knew as her father, Phillip Carter.

Her parents precede her in death. 

Surviving family include her husband, Daniel Wright, whom she married on October 7, 1978; sons, Daniel Wright (and Lainie) and Joshua Wright, both of Stearns; brothers, Chip Nelson and Matt Carter; sisters, Tammy Nelson and Carolyn Hagy; grandsons, Logan and Nathanial Wright; and special friends, Rhonda and Tracy. 

Sherri was a member of the Flat Rock Baptist Church. She enjoyed attending reenactments at Camp Wildcat, where she also volunteered to work to continue these reenactments. Sherri also enjoyed being home, caring for her flower gardens, floating and swimming in the pool, and cooking. She especially enjoyed baking desserts. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Per Sherri's wishes, she will be cremated. Memorial services will be held on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday after 12:00 pm until service time at the funeral home. 

Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
