Sheila Faye Walker

Sheila Faye Walker age 51 of Helenwood, Tennessee passed from this life on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at the Big South Fork Medical Center.

She was born May 3, 1969 in McCreary County, Kentucky to Dester Phillips and Molly (Wilson) Phillips. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Walker, Jr., a sister, Melissa Rollins, and a sister-in-law, Vela Davidson.

Surviving family include her children, Lonna Siler (Travis) of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Jeremy Grundy (Kaitlyn Dishman) of Monticello, Kentucky, and Molly Grundy of Whitley City, Kentucky; her loving companion of over 11 years, James “Bud” Lackey and his children, Jamie Lackey of Helenwood, April Calhoun of Somerset, Kentucky, and Jennifer James of Helenwood; and her grandchildren, Addison Sumler, Callie Siler, Weston Siler, Rayley Grundy, Kaitley Joe, Rielyn Joe, Kaiten Joe, Paisley Phillips, Jeremiah Stephens, Hailey Walker, and Noah Walker.

Also surviving are Sheila’s brothers and sisters, Dester Phillips, Vickie Wilson, Cassandra Perry (Bill), Lisa Waters (Eddie), Julie Helton (Greg), Angie Edwards, and Savannah Phillips; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sheila Walker, Lela Stewart, Bet Rose, Leonard “Andy” Lackey, and Rebecca Phillips; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Sheila enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies. She also loved to work and when she wasn’t, she enjoyed bowling, mud riding, and playing cards and board games. When she was home, she liked to mow grass and plant flowers. Sheila will be sadly missed by all she knew and loved.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Josh Stephens officiating. Burial to follow in the Jones Cemetery in Strunk, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Tuesday after 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
