Shannon Dixon

Shannon Dixon age 55 of Pine, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

He was born March 11, 1966 in Oneida, Tennessee to the late Steve Dixon and Betty (Slaven) Dixon. Shannon enjoyed working on old cars and trucks. He loved to be outdoors, fishing, and going to dirt track racing. Shannon will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Surviving family include his children, Jonathan Dixon and wife, Amy, of Stearns, and Casey Ridner and husband, Benji, of Pine Knot; brothers, Anthony Slaven and wife, Sheila of Strunk, Wendell Steve Dixon and wife, Tammy, of Pine Knot, and Bill Dixon and wife, Therese, also of Pine Knot; one sister, Deborah Buell of Loyal, Kentucky; and a special friend, Darlene Chitwood.

Also surviving are Shannon’s grandchildren that he loved dearly, Shyanne Ridner, Lucas Ridner, Alexis Wilson, and Kyson Dixon.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Slaven-Dixon Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday after 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
