SANDRA GAERTNER

Sandra Gaertner, age 45, passed peacefully from this life on Friday, July 20, 2012, at her home on Murphy Ridge in Strunk, Kentucky.

Memorial services will be held Monday, July 23, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home.

Sandy was born in Chicago, Illinois, on April 29, 1967, the daughter of John and Virginia (Jonas) Olesinski. Mr. and Mrs. Olesinski live in Lindenhurst, Illinois. Sandy was the wife of Garrett Gaertner of Strunk. They were married November 29, 1992 in Chicago and had dated since age 16. Their children are Garrett, Gregory Gunner and Caitlyn Gaertner. They had an infant daughter Sarah that is deceased.

Sisters and brother are Cathy Brown and her husband Richard of Antioch, Illinois and Jennifer Olesinski and Johnny Olesinski both of Lindenhurst, Illinois. Her mother-in-law is Doris Gaertner of Strunk and father-in-law Larry Gaertner. She leaves behind many dear friends, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Sandy was a homemaker who loved and cherished her family dearly. She enjoyed entertaining and without invitation, every Sunday everyone was invited to her home for a cookout. She took pleasure in both flower and vegetable gardening. She leaves behind many cherished memories for her loved ones.
