RUBY A. GREGORY

Mrs. Ruby A. Gregory, age 78, of Stearns, Kentucky, passed away Monday, November 19, 2007, at the Russell County Hospital in Russell Springs, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 24, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Pine Knot Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in the Corder Cemetery at Wolf Ridge in Stearns. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 a€" 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gregory was born February 20, 1929, at Yamacraw, Kentucky, to the late Hunter and Susie Marie Jones Matthews. She was retired having worked for the U.S. Forest Service. She was a member of the Lower Wolf Creek Baptist Church and belonged to the Senior Friends group. Preceding her in death is her parents Hunter and Susie Matthews her husband Clifford Gregory, and a brother Loyd Matthews.

Ruby and Clifford had three sons, Bruce Wayne Gregory of Russell Springs, Gary Lee (and Diane) Gregory of Pine Knot and Lindell Allen Gregory (and his companion Judy Keith) of Monticello. There is one surviving sister Ruth E. Worley of Independence, Kentucky, and five surviving brothers, Harvey Matthews of Stearns, (Cecil) Hunter Matthews, Jr., Stearns, Estil Matthews, Stearns, Billy R. Roberts, Stearns, and Jeff Roberts, Wiborg. Ruby had a grandson Tyler Gregory, and a granddaughter Jordan L. Gregory.
