ROSELLA MURPHY

Mrs. Rosella Murphy, age 76, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away Monday, July 7, 2008, at the McCreary health and Rehabilitation Center in Pine Knot.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 12, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Randall Brown, Bro. Bill King, and Bro. Doug Stephens officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 a€" 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in the East Pine Knot Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Murphy was born on September 10, 1931, in Pine Knot, Kentucky to the late Noah and Artie Lay Stephens. She had been a seamstress working for McCreary Manufacturing and was a member of the Meadows Grove Baptist Church.

Besides her parents, preceding her in death are three brothers Dennis, Claude and Clyde (Abe) Stephens and four sisters Mary Egnor, Beulah, Blanche and Betty Jo Stephens.

Surviving family include her husband Paul E. Murphy of Pine Knot, two sons Ronald E. Wright of Rising Sun, Maryland and Wayne Neal (and Lisa) of Martinsville, Indiana, a step-son Audis Neal (and Glenda) of Mesquite, Texas, and Paul's children Paul Murphy, Jr. of Albany, Georgia, Donna Vreeden of Kansas City, Missouri, David Wayne Murphy of Virginia and William Howard Murphy who is deceased. Her brothers and sisters are Noah Stephens, Jr. (and Freda), Orangalee Spradlin (and Todd), Doris Perry (and James), Lois Reeves (and Harold) all of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Molly Thompson (and Larry) of Revelo, Kentucky, James Calvin Stephens (and Betty) of Lake City, Florida. Her sisters-in-law are Modena Stephens of Rising Sun, Maryland, Laura Stephens of Pine Knot and Lora Stephens of Whitley City, Kentucky.

There are eight grandchildren: Barry, Missy, Bruce, Katrina, Jeremy, Keith, Jennifer, and L.A. and nine great grandchildren: Mathew, Micheal, Kaitlyn, Courtney, Aryanna, Daniel, Jeffery, Cody, and Tamara.
