RONNIE WAYNE STRUNK

Ronnie Wayne Strunk, age 57 of Pine Knot, passed away on Saturday September 3, 2011 at the University of Tennessee Hospital in Knoxville.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2pm Tuesday September 6 in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Burke and Bro. Jeff Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday after11am until time for services at the funeral home.

He was born at Jellico, Tennessee on August 23, 1954, son of the late Elmer and Madeline King Strunk. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Lonnie Strunk and a sister Edna Carol Strunk.

Survivors include 4 sons: Glenn Thompson of Pine Knot, Garrett Meadows of Pine Knot, Ronnie Meadows of Bronston, KY and Christopher Slavey of Pine Knot. There are 3 brothers: Donnie Merrell Strunk, of Strunk, KY, Darrell Strunk of Somerset and David Ralph Strunk of Stearns. 4 sisters: Joyce Ann Bryant, Williamsburg, KY, Lois Jean Walker of Pine Knot, Doris Faye Strunk of Somerset and Lisa Gail Strunk of Pine Knot. There are 2 step grandchildren, Taylar Nicole and Jordan Breanna King.

Wayne enjoyed, hunting, fishing, 4 wheeling and most everything outdoors. He had attended the Davis Hill Church of God.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to assist with funeral expenses.
