Ronald Delano Ross

Ronald Delano Ross, age 70, of Monticello, Kentucky, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

Born March 30, 1954, in Revelo, Kentucky, he was the son of Rubin Ross and Ethelene Wilson Ross. He is preceded in death by his mother Ethelene Ross and a sister Wanda Faye Ross.

Survivors include his father Rubin Ross, a daughter Shauna Ross (husband John Mayes) of Indianapolis, Indiana, a son Jesse W. Ross (wife Natalie) of Monticello, Kentucky, step-children: Joseph Litchfield of Indianapolis, Indiana, Nathan Sexton (wife Angel) of Monticello, and Noel Sexton (wife Kista) of Monticello. He has three brothers: Tilden Ross of Stearns, Kentucky, Randy Ross (wife Shirley) of Avon, Indiana, Andrew Ross (wife Ann) of Terra Haute, Indiana, five grandchildren: Chayce, Tyler, Abel, Ariana, and Skylar, step-grandchildren: Jaylan,  Keelan, Presley, and Nathan Sexton, as well as a special friend, Zina Clark.

Ronald had worked for Ross Paving, served in the United States Army, and enjoyed hunting and fishing and camping. Mostly he enjoyed his family, spending time with his grandchildren and telling them stories.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 13, 2025, in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro, Ernest Mann officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 noon until time for services at 1:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at the Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery in Stearns, Kentucky.
