ROBERT B. JONES

Robert B. (Robby) Jones, age 52, of smithtown, Kentucky, departed from this life on Thursday, April 10, 2008, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center after a long battle with illness.

Celebration of Life Services were held Monday, April 14, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home lead by Rev. Ernie Watson. The family received friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 a€" 6 p.m. He was laid to rest in the Rock Springs Cemetery at Jones Hollow.

He was born March 4, 1956, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Brock and Patsy (Winchester) Jones. He made his home and raised his family in smithtown, Kentucky, with his wife Shanna, whom he married on November 5, 1975. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, car racing, telling jokes, family, friends, and playing with his grandkids.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Joe and Rutha (New) Jones and Wilburn and Maudie (Young) Winchester; his father-in-law Bud Watson; a very special nephew Brock Dewayne Jones and a very special niece Ashlie Nikole Shane.

Survivors include his parents Brock and Patsy Jones, Smithtown, his wife Shanna Jones of Smithtown; three sons Robert B. Jones, Jr. of Austin, Texas, Anthony Jones (Jonesy) of Smithtown, and Joshua (and Amanda) Jones of Whitley City; one brother, Jerry (and Hazel) Jones of Smithtown; one sister Linda (and Doug) Vaughn, of Smithtown; two grandchildren, Alexis Bray Jones and Cameron Wade Jones of Whitley City; several nieces and nephews and many friends and family whom he loved dearly.
