Reva Maxine Wood

Reva Maxine Wood age 93 of Strunk, Kentucky passed from this life on Monday, January 6, 2020 at her home.

She was born December 4, 1926 in Strunk, Kentucky to the late William Henry Spradlin and Matilda (Stephens) Spradlin. Also preceding her in death is her husband, Rev. George Wood, a son, Morris Leon Wood, brothers: Clyde, Clarence, Darris, Hobert, Eugene, Gorman, and Howard Spradlin, and a sister, Geneva Roberts. 

Surviving family include her granddaughter, Leiah Canada (and Norman) of Strunk, Kentucky; great-grandchildren, Ashton Bates and Maverick Etherington; great-great-grandson, Zakery Lee Morris Bates; sisters, Irene Roberts of Arkansas, and Carol Barber of Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

Reva was of the Church of God faith. She spent her life serving the Lord with her husband, both spreading the word of God to others as much as they could. Reva also took much pride in taking care of her home, cooking, sewing, and gardening. She will be deeply missed.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Redemption Way Church with Rev. Jeff Bryant officiating. Burial to follow in the Angel Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday after 6:00 pm at the church.
