Retha Sexton

Ms. Retha Sexton (Sis McCulley), age 53 of Pine Knot, passed from her earthly life on Sunday April 19, 2009 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

A funeral service for Ms. Sexton will be held on Wednesday April 22, 2009 at 2pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. David Troxell delivering a message of hope and comfort. Burial will follow in Pine Knot Cemetery. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 until 9 at Pine Knot Funeral Home.

She was born on May 25, 1955 to the late Lonis and Mae Evelyn "Chigger" Stephens McCulley. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Roy Denver Sexton, a brother, Elmer McCulley and 2 grandchildren, Dustin Fuson and Devon Stephens.

Survivors include her step father, James L. Durham, a son, James "Goober" Fuson of Pine Knot, and 4 daughters, Sheila McCulley and her husband Chris Ball, Michelle Sexton, Tonya Sexton Ferrier and her husband Robert, and April Sexton Stephens and her husband Randall, all of Pine Knot and two brothers Herb McCulley and wife Patrica, Gary Blakely and wife Carol. There are 9 grandchildren, Christopher Ball, Chelsea Sexton, Brandon Fuson, Jaime Fuson, Shadara Ferrier, Allison Fuson, Colton Sexton and Kaylee Stephens. Her special friends are Misty Coffey, Betty McCulley, Wanda Dick and Mary Burchfield.

Retha was a homemaker and had given her life to Christ with the help and prayers of Bro. David Troxell and members of the Hill Top Baptist Church.
