RACHEL E. SEWARD

Mrs. Rachel E. Seward, age 64, wife of George Seward, passed away on Wednesday November 25, 2009.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 12 noon at the Round Top Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Smith Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday after 6 at the Round Top Church.

She was born in Wolfe County, Kentucky on March 1, 1945. She was the daughter of the late Floyd Parris and Betsy Gilley. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother Floyd Gilley and a sister, Lula Richey.

Survivors include her husband, George Seward and 2 sons, George Dallas Seward Jr. and his wife Cindy of Harrison, OH and James Dewayne Seward of Whitley City. 6 daughters, Jo Marie Strunk and her companion Ricky of Whitley City, Lola Marie Perry and her companion Buddy of Pine Knot, April Ellen Aleraz and her husband Joey of Bedford, KY and Jenny Lynn Lynch and her husband Roy of Whitley City. One step daughter, Eta Murphy and her husband L.A of Pine Knot. A half brother, Jr. Harlow of Pine Knot, and a sister, Lola Moore of Covington, KY and a half sister Betty King of Indiana. There are 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family of Mrs. Rachel E. Seward in her funeral arrangements.
