Peggy Jane Taylor

Peggy Jane Taylor, age 78 years, of Pine Knot, Kentucky died Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

She was born in Beckley, West Virginia on March 19, 1945 the daughter of Rubun and Versie (Caudill) Turner. Peggy had retired from Wal-Mart and was a member of the East Pine Knot Tabernacle Church of God. Her favorite hobbies were crocheting, cross stitching, working with flowers, cooking for her family and Sunday Dinners, and enjoyed going to Church. There was never a sweeter woman.

Her parents; daughter, Cindy Taylor; brothers, Kenneth Turner and Kermit Turner; sisters, Katherin Hoskins and Imogene Toler; and grandson, Tommy Clark precede her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Douglas Taylor of Pine Knot, Kentucky; son, Dewayne Taylor (Debra) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; daughter, Terssa Stephens (Ronald) of Pine Knot, Kentucky; brother, Raymond Turner of Johnson City, Tennessee; sister, Joann Mullins of Richmond, Kentucky; son-in-law, Billy Wayne Rigney of Pine Knot, Kentucky; grandchildren, Amber Dobbs (Tony), Aaron Stephens (Marissa), Douglas Clark, Amanda Taylor (Nathaniel), Traci Perry (Isaiah), Eric Taylor, and Lily Rigney; and great grandchildren, Robin Harness, Jake Dobbs, Rylee Stephens, and Ravyn Perry.

Graveside services will be held 1pm Monday, September 18, 2023 at the East Pine Knot Memorial Gardens with Bro. Cody Canada officiating.
