Patricia "Patty" Winchester

Patricia “Patty” Winchester, age 71, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015, at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky.

Patty was born January 1, 1944, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Thomas and Beulah (Strunk) Knight. She is preceded in death by her parents, her twin brother, Edward Knight and a sister, Lila Ann Rose. 

Surviving family include her husband Herman Winchester of Stearns, Kentucky, two sons: Wayne Lee Winchester (and Donna) of Smithtown, Kentucky and Kevin Wade Winchester (and Whitney) of Florence, Kentucky, a daughter: Cynde (Winchester) Green of Pine Knot, a sister: Thomasena Baker of Cincinnati, Ohio, and grandchildren: Dustin Wayne Winchester (and Amanda), Olivia June Winchester, Jacob Winchester Green, and Jonathan Robert Green.

She and Herman owned the furniture store at Flat Rock.  She was a retired educator from the McCreary County Schools and a member of the Lower Hickory Grove Baptist Church. She loved her church, reading her Bible, and teaching the little children.  She truly enjoyed making a warm and loving home for her children and grandchildren. 

Funeral service will be Tuesday December 1, 2015 at 3:00pm in the chapel of the Pine Knot Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at 1:00pm until funeral time at the funeral home.
