Pamela Renee Garland

Pamela Renee Garland age 64 of Somerset, Kentucky, formerly of Pine Knot, passed from this life on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at the University of Cincinnati Hospital.

She was born December 30, 1958 in Somerset, Kentucky to the late Otis Kennedy and Beatrice (Helton) Kennedy.

In addition to her parents, Pam is preceded in death by her husband, Don Gene Garland; children, Donnie Garland, Edward Garland, and Cheyenne Garland; grandchildren: John Smith III and Dustin Fuson, sisters, Sue Jones, Brenda Kennedy, Denise Bowman, Carol Procter, and Debbie Conrad.

Surviving family include her children, Jeremy Garland (and Amy) of Pine Knot, Joe Garland (and Kayla) of Somerset, Rambo Garland (and Andie) of Somerset, Brandon Garland (and Alisha) of Somerset, Dawson Garland (and Dava) of Somerset, Sunshine Miller of Somerset, Amber Nelson (and Ronnie) of Somerset, Monica Smith Worley (and Roy) of Whitley City, Jenny Kidd (and Chris) of Somerset, Madonna Carter (and Clifton) of Somerset, Kimberly Garland (and Eric) of Monticello, Rosa Askvig (and Jeff) of Marcus, Iowa, Jacqulin Stigall (and Jamie) of Casey County, Megan Garland (and Timmy) of Albany, and Ann Hollis (and Wendell) of Revelo.

Also surviving are brothers, John Kennedy (and Alicia) of Somerset, Andy Kennedy (and Vickie) of Whitley City, Mike Kennedy (and Janice) of Pine Knot, and Wayne Kennedy of Somerset; sisters, Janice Bell (and David Ball) of Whitley City, Sharon Schoffner of Whitley City, Shelby Davis of Somerset, Elaine Tucker of Somerset, Rita Garner of Whitley City, Becky Phillips (and Marty) of Whitley City; 68 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Pam was a homemaker who enjoyed playing Bingo and being on Facebook. But above all, she loved her grandchildren the most.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Ridener officiating. Burial is to follow in the Smith Cemetery of Round Top. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday after 12:00 noon until service time.
