Pamela Dixon, age 39, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at her home in Pine Knot.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 17, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. at the Whitley City Church of God with Rev. Joe Prewitt and Rev. Larry Holbrook officiating. Visiting hours will be from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 at the church. Private family interment services will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the King Meadows Cemetery in Pine Knot.
Pam was born in Oneida, Tennessee on April 3, 1970, to Ronald and Shirley King Hamlin. Mr. and Mrs. Hamlin reside in Pine Knot. She was united in marriage to Bruce Dixon on August 27, 1988. Bruce and Pam have two children Cortney Brooke and Caleb Josiah Dixon. She has a brother Ronnie (and Misty) Hamlin of Pine Knot, and four sisters Daphne (and Gary) Clark of Revelo, Joan (and Roland) Hughes of Pine Knot, Karen (and Adam) Stephens of Revelo, and Sharen (and Arlie, Jr.) Hill of Revelo. There are many nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends and a very special friend Tony Cordell.
Pam was a music teacher for the McCreary County Schools and a music director at the Whitley City Church of God where her husband pastors. She enjoyed camping, four-wheeling and going to the lake. Through her music and the love she had for children, she touched and changed many lives. Those who knew her will forever be blessed.
