ODIS B. STEPHENS

Mr. Odis Boyd Stephens, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2006, at his home on the Meadows Grove Road in Pine Knot.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 12, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. David Troxell officiating and Rev. Wayne Stephens delivering the eulogy. Special music was by Judy Redden. He was laid to rest in the Lower Cal Hill Cemetery in Pine Knot.

He was born in McCreary County, Kentucky, on April 10, 1938, the son of the late Robert and Manda Angel Stephens. Also preceding him in death are four sisters Delois King, Darlene McCarroll, Barbara Faye Cooper and Jewell Dean Murray and a brother Arlis Douglas.

Odis leaves behind his companion and best friend of many years, Betty Webb and her children who were also like his children; Christopher Adam Cox (and fiancAC. Ashley Wyatt) and Tonya King (and husband Tommy) all of Pine Knot. Surviving brother and sister are Tivous Stephens of Morris, Alabama and Magdeline Wilson of Stearns, Kentucky. His uncle is Ledford Stephens of Pine Knot and his two precious grandchildren are Lauren Hallie Cox and Baleigh Lynn Cox.

Odis had been a truck driver having last worked for Coltrans, Inc. He was a member of the Hilltop Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Pine Knot Funeral Home assisted the family of Mr. Odis Stephens with funeral arrangements.
