NORMA FAYE MUSGROVE

Ms. Norma "Kate" Musgrove, age 73, of Pine Knot, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. Burial was at the Musgrove Cemetery.

Born April 23, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Hazel (King) Roberts. She is also preceded in death by her husband Bob Musgrove who passed away on August 18, 2006, a son Benjamin Musgrove, and a brother Kenneth Roberts.

Surviving family include four sons: Anthony Musgrove, Charles Musgrove, Robert Musgrove all of Pine Knot and Lorne Musgrove who is a grandson but she raised as her own son. Her daughters are Dinah Carol Duvall, Whitley City, Katie Musgrove and Fanci Musgrove both of Pine Knot.

Her brothers and sisters are: Nadine West, Beaver Dam, KY; Tommy Roberts, St. Cloud, FL; Roger Roberts, St. Cloud, FL; Anna Morgan, St. Cloud, FL; Nola Steele, Oneida, TN; Loretta Sheffeld, St. Cloud, FL; and Emma "Boots" McGinnis, Sarasota, FL.

Kate has 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

She was a homemaker and member of the Hilltop Missionary Baptist Church. She was a jack-of-all-trades who could do anything from quilting to home construction. As long as it was outdoors, she enjoyed it. She especially enjoyed ginsenging, gardening and flowers.
