NORMA MEADOWS

Ms. Norma Meadows, age 75, of Pine Knot, passed away at her home on Friday, January 15, 2010.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 17 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. William Kilby and Rev. Harvey Logan officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Meadows Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 a€" 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born October 23, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Timon and Laura Neal Laxton. Surviving family include five sons Roy Lee (and Judy) Meadows of Indianapolis, Hugh David Meadows of Pine Knot, Steven Wayne Meadows of Pine Knot, Roger Dale Meadows of Indianapolis and Jimmy Dean (and Wendy) Summers of Huntsville, Tennessee. There are four daughters Charlotte Elaine (and Gary) Coffey of Stearns, Shelby Jean (and Allen) Genoe of Pine Knot, Marilyn Sue (and Jimmy) Garza of Indianapolis and Treasa Gail (and William) Clark of Stearns. Her brother and sister are Thomas Laxton of Pine Knot and Christine Chitwood of Winfield, Tennessee.

Mrs. Meadows was blessed with 20 grandchildren (including one deceased) and 23 great grandchildren. Two special nieces that helped care for her are Pam Smith and Bertie Lovitt.
