NORMA BERTHA LOVITT

Norma Bertha Baird Lovitt, age 83, of Strunk, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012, at the McCreary County Health and Rehab Center in Pine Knot.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Pat Ayers officiating. Burial will be at the Hayes Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 a€" 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Lovitt was a homemaker and member of the Hayes Creek Church of God.

She was born on February 21, 1921, on Jellico Creek in Kentucky to the late Arthur and Ethel (Dople) Baird. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Claude Lovitt, a son Ronnie Lovitt, a daughter Carolyn Lovitt, a brother Hollie Baird and a granddaughter Nancy Jones. Surviving family include her children; Vonna (and Carl) Varkett of Homosassa, Florida, Marvin (and Nicole) Lovitt of Wartburg, Tennessee, Donnie (and Roberta) Lovitt of Strunk, Kentucky, Steve (and Barbara) Lovitt of Strunk, and Sondra Watters of Strunk. There are seven grandchildren: Robin Branscum, Barry Branscum, Norma Wilson, Crystal Redden, Wesley Lovitt, Donnie Keith Lovitt and Flecia Smith as well as 11 great grandchildren.
