Our beloved Noah Francis “Frank” Stephens, of Perryville, MD was born on October 31,1948 and received his eternal reward for a life well-lived on April 25, 2024. We believe that our loss is Heaven’s gain.
Frank lived every day of his 75 years to the fullest. He was one of the most motivated and generous humans on the planet. His brown eyes and bright smile lit up any space he entered. We cannot fathom how much brighter Heaven is today, with his presence there.
His life was truly a reflection of God’s love. He gave sacrificially and loved deeply. While he enjoyed having nice things (a large farm and a beautiful home), he equally enjoyed a visit with friends and family. He knew he was loved by many and cherished the lasting friendships he made along the way.
When Frank wasn’t on his tractor, or tinkering in his garage, you could find him hard at work in other ways around the farm. He enjoyed being outdoors.
Frank was owner/operator of a family car-hauling company for approximately twenty-six years, until his experience with Alzheimer’s began. While this diagnosis limited him, he always continued to “work”. Frank was a Member of Teamsters 557 and UAW 326. He hauled freight, military equipment, and a variety of automobiles for over fifty years.
There was never a doubt that Frank treasured his wife, Phyllis Stephens, of fifty-eight years. His children, Lorie Madron, Vicki Nagell (Joe), Christie Ponjican (Dan), Frankie Stephens, and Amy Elizabeth Johnson (Paul) all claimed to be “his favorite” which only proved that he loved each of them so dearly in his own special way.
Frank is survived by his loving siblings David Stephens (Nova), Michael Stephens (BJ), Pam Thomas (Jerry), Carl Stephens (Penny), Greg Stephens (Joy), Judi Hopper (Kevin) and Keith Stephens (Dottie). He is also survived by Violet (Tubby) Stephens, his sweet Mother-in-Law who adored him. Frank also has fifteen grandchildren, who greatly admired him, along with three great grandchildren. What a beautiful legacy he leaves behind.
Frank is preceded in death by his precious parents, Claude Curtis and Modeana Stephens and his Father-in-Law, Donald B.
We will be joining with the angels in celebrating Frank Stephens’ homegoing on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Pine Knot Funeral Home at 12:00 noon. (140 Cal Hill Spur, Pine Knot, KY 42635) Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in the Lower Cal Hill Cemetery.
We will also have a Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Sunday, June 2 at Truth and Life Church, 1924 West Pulaski Highway, Elkton, MD 21921 at 11 AM. Frank was a faithful Member of Truth and Life Church for nearly forty-eight years where he served in a variety of ministries as he was able. Frank loved his church family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Truth and Life Church, PO Box 457, North East, MD 21901-0457.
