NINNIE WATSON

April 17, 1928 — June 13, 2009

Ms. Ninnie Watson, age 81, of Stearns, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 13, 2009.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Rufus Hughes and Rev. Randall Meadows officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Ross Grove Cemetery in Stearns. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 a€" 9 p.m. at the funeral home. An Eastern Star service will be held Tuesday at 8:00 p.m.

Ms. Watson was born April 17, 1928, at Bell Farm, Kentucky, to the late Jim Patton and Roxie Gregory Smith. Also preceding her in death are her husband Elmon Watson who died January 21, 1969, three sons Roger, Kelly and Bobby Glen Watson, 8 brothers: McKinley, Sullavan, Arthur, Levi, Jack, Huie, Paul, and Berdie Smith, nine sisters Stella Smith, Bernedie Watson, Bertha Brown, Elsie Melhorn, Marie Kidd, Nova, Virgie, Viola and Iola Smith, and two grandchildren, Timothy Taylor and Casandra Watson.

Surviving family include two daughters, Shirley Jean Taylor of Stearns and Alice Upchurch (and Allan) of Revelo, seven sons Eddie Watson (and Irene) of Whitley City, Jimmy Watson (and Roberta) of Muncie, Indiana, Troy Watson (and Jackie) of Stearns, Ernie Watson (and Lois) of Stearns, Billy Watson of Whitley City, Joshua and Zachary Watson both of Stearns. There is one surviving sister Mary Smith of Oneida, Tennessee, 26 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren.

Ms. Watson was a member of the Beech Grove United Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 288 of Stearns for over 30 years. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren whom she adored.

Pine Knot Funeral Home assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
