NENA LYNNETTE JOHNSON

Nena Lynnette Johnson, age 39, of Pine Knot, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, June 24, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Staley and Rev. William Kilby officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Bethel Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 4:00 p.m. until funeral time at 6:00 on Friday.

Nena was born in Somerset, Kentucky, on August 18, 1971, the daughter of Robert and Doris Kidd Meadors. Survivors include her husband Anthony Dwaine Johnson whom she married June 21, 1997, her children Erica Jordan Brown, Haley Victoria Johnson, and Huntington Mark Edward Johnson of Pine Knot and Tyler Davis Johnson of Helenwood, Tennessee. Her parents Robert and Doris Meadors of Pine Knot and sister Stacey Denise Hammons (husband Steve) also of Pine Knot. She leaves behind many other relatives, co-workers, and friends and a very good friend that was like a brother, Craig Reed.

Preceding her in death is a brother Trenton Reed Meadors and grandparents Virgil and Bessie Kidd and Crawford and Georgia Meadors.

Nena was a special education teacher for the McCreary County Schools at Whitley City Elementary. She was a member of the Pine Knot United Baptist Church. According to her family, she saw good in everybody and her family WAS her life. She will be sadly missed by all, but our loss is heaven's gain.
