MILFORD DEAN CRABTREE

February 21, 1940 — May 13, 2010

Milford Dean Crabtree, age 70 years, two months and 21 days began his new life with our Lord on May 13, 2010. Dean passed away at the home of his sister, DeVonda Miller and Jim Miller in Knoxville, Tennessee

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 16, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at the Jones Cemetery in Strunk, Kentucky. Pall Bearers will be Jack Crabtree, Balford Crabtree, Sam Bowen, Jackie (Coop) Miller, Robert Ayers, Jr., and Jared Miller.The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Born February 21, 1940, in McCreary County, Kentucky, to Rev. Luther Samuel Crabtree and Nellie Marie Strunk Crabtree Ball, now gone on to their reward.

Dean married Margie Ruth Bowen Crabtree July 7, 1972, at the home of her parents Jake and Pauline Dispain Bowen in Duluth, Georgia. Children born of this union are Holly Marie Crabtree of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Pamela Jane Crabtree of Pine Knot, Kentucky. Older son of Milford Dean Crabtree is Ronnie Dean Crabtree of Whitley City, Kentucky.

Deceased siblings are Rev. James A. Crabtree, Villettte Ruth Daneker and Doris Ann Wright. Older son of Luther Crabtree, Albert Crabtree, formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Surviving brothers are Jack A. and Buffy Crabtree of Columbia, South Carolina, Balford L. and Brenda Crabtree of Rising Sun, Indiana, and Clifford S. and Linda Crabtree of Pine Knot, Kentucky.

Surviving sisters are Emma Eldora Teegarden of Cincinnati, Ohio, Devonda L. (and James) Miller of Knoxville, Tennessee, Linda Faye (and Doyle) Welch of LaFollette, Tennessee, and Janie K. (and Robert) Ayers of Beckley, West Virginia.

He was blessed with a host of many other relatives and friends.

The family sends deepest regards and appreciation to the Park West Hospital, the Fort Sanders Medical Center and the Hospice caretakers, all of Knoxville, Tennessee. To all the family and friends who lovingly cared for and gave of themselves during this most difficult time, the family extends their deepest gratitude.
