MILDRED M FERIA

Mrs. Mildred M. Feria, age 87 of Murphy Subdivision in Stearns passed away on Thursday October 23, 2008 at her home while under Hospice Care.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 1pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with entombment to follow in the Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6-9pm at the funeral home.

She was born in McCreary County on March 8, 1921, to the late Johnny Stephens and Mattie Moore Stephens. She was a former school custodian and a baptized member of the Church of Christ in Farmington, Michigan.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Alexander Feria. A son, Bobby Ray Kidd of Texas and 3 daughters, Carrie Kelly and Alice Faye McCurry both of Stearns and Barbara Pastor of Whitley City. She has a brother, Earl Stephens of Chattanooga, TN. There are 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 2 sons, Harold Dean and James Paul Kidd, 6 brothers; Loyd, James, Owen, Jesse, Virgil, and Roy Stephens, and a half brother, Riley Byrd. She is also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Emma Green and Agnes Ellis and 3 infant sisters.
