MICHAEL ALLEN TAYLOR

Michael Allen Taylor, age 55, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013, at his home in Whitley City, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013, in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Inman officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until time for services.

Mike was born August 8, 1957, the son of Reba and Earl Manning. Preceding him in death is his father Earl Manning and a sister Lesia Lynn Bowling. Surviving family include his mother Reba Manning, Pine Knot, wife Renee (Goodman) Taylor, Whitley City, and children; Misty Brown (and Chris), Loganville, GA, Samantha Green (and Tyler), Alaska, Shea Posey (and Jordan), Stearns, Michael Taylor, II (and Britney), Lafollette, TN, and Talia Foster, Whitley City.. There are 12 grandchildren: Jordan, Taylor, Bailey, Natalie, Cameron, Kira, Elijah, Ava, Rosslyn, Aurelia, Haiden, and Weston.

Surviving brothers and sisters are: Danny Spradlin, Somerset, KY; Ralph Manning, Pine Knot, KY; Patricia Stephens, Georgia; Melinda Clark, Co-Operative, KY; Claudia Beatty, Winfield, TN; Teresia Strunk, Stearns, KY; and Kimberly Manning, Pine Knot

Mike had been a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Pine Knot. He last worked at the Pizza Inn in Whitley City before becoming disabled. He worked at Southern Binders in Dalton, GA for 10 years and Signs, Graphics and Printing in Dalton for a few years before moving back to McCreary County. When he was able, he greatly enjoyed fishing. After becoming disabled, most of his time was spent with computers. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
