Michael Glenn Cottrell

Michael Glenn Cottrell age 61 of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed from this life on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

He was born October 15, 1960 in Chase City, Virginia to the late Thomas and Nola (Meadows) Cottrell. 

Surviving family include his aunts, Doris Gaertner of Strunk, Beverly Wilson (and Merrell) of Stearns, and Nancy Meadowd of Pine Knot; an uncle, Floyd Meadows of Strunk; and several cousins and extended family who loved Michael dearly. 

Michael loved life, his family, and his friends. He was an avid music lover and enjoyed attending concerts, especially to see Black Berry Smoke. Michael also enjoyed watching the UK Wildcats play basketball. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing as well. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Per his wishes, Michael will be cremated. A Memorial Gathering will take place at a later date. 

Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
