MAUDIE MARCELLA TAYLOR

Maudie "Marcella" (Duncan) Taylor of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Strunk, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2011, at her home. She had attained the age of 78 years, 7 months, and 11 days.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 21, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home Wwith Rev. Glen Hyden officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Murray Wilson cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until funeral service time.

She was born on September 28, 1932 in Strunk, Kentucky, to Rosie (Wilson) Duncan and Jim Duncan. She has been a member of The Church of God for many years.

Proceeding her in death was her husband of 46 years, William Edward "Bill" Taylor, her mother Rosie Wilson Duncan Thomas, her father Jim Duncan, her great grandparents Murry and Arteena (King) Wilson and Oliver and Tabitha (Slaven) Duncan, four brothers Moe, Bill, Ray, and Don Duncan an infant sister Marilyn Rose Duncan and a step-sister Wanda Duncan Cook.

Survivors are seven children: James (and Carol) Taylor, Joyce (and Whit) Bentley, Sharon (and Sherman) Kenner, Bobby (and Missy) Taylor, Benjamin Taylor, Jackie Taylor, and Jerry (and Mary) Taylor. There are 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Sister Judy Smith, step-sisters June Richardson, Sue Carr, Joan Privett, and Deanie Creekmore.
