MARY E. TAYLOR

Ms. Mary E. Taylor, age 92 of Pine Knot, passed away on Friday October 3, 2008 at the McCreary Health and Rehab Center in Pine Knot.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1pm at the Hayes Creek Church of God with Rev. Harvey Logan, Rev. Tim Stephens, Rev. William Kilby and Rev. Denton Walker officiating. Burial will follow at the Hayes Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6-9pm at Pine Knot Funeral Home.

She was born at Hayes Creek on December 26, 1915. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Hannah Cornelius Baird. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hayes Creek Church of God. She had the distinction of having membership at Hayes Creek Church longer than any other member.

Survivors include 3 sons; Raymond Taylor of Strunk, Ezra Taylor and his wife Ann Rose of Pine Knot, and Earl Taylor and his wife Ann Lou of Pine Knot. A daughter, Jean Walker and her husband Denton of Harrison Ohio. There is a sister, Lura Neal of Whitley City. Ms. Taylor also has a daughter in law, Betty Taylor. She has 18 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildre and 18 great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and 2 sons; Herbert Taylor and Walter Taylor; 6 brothers, Ray, Walter, Lonzo Benny, Joe and James Baird and one sister, Lauada Taylor.
