MARGARET MARIE MESSER

Margaret Marie Messer, of Sand Hill Road in Whitley City passed from her earthly life on Wednesday February 24, 2010 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset at the age of 61 years.

Funeral services will be Saturday February 27, 2010 at 2pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Warman, Rev. Russell Keith and Rev. Daniel Ridener officiating. Burial will be beside her husband at the Angel Cemetery in Stearns, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 until 9 pm at the funeral home.

She was born at Worley Hill Top on October October 14, 1948, to the late Everet Newel and Agnes Maxwell Nevels. She is also preceded in death by her huband Bill, 1 brother, Dave Nevels and 3 sisters, Clida Spradlin, Roberta Waters and Donna Jones.

Her surviving family are a son Tim Messer and his wife Rita of Mackville, Kentucky and a daughter, Tammy Messer of Whitley City. 2 brothers, Litton and Paul Nevels both of Whitley City and 3 sisters, Magolia Dick of Flat Rock, Myrtle Bryant of Whitley City and Elizibeth Young of Corbin. She has 5 grandchildren, Courtney, Kirsten and William Taylor and Mackenzie and Nathaniel Messer.

Ms. Messer was a homemaker and enjoyed piecing quilt tops. She served her God as a member of the Day Ridge Baptist Church. She leaves her memory with her friends and family to cherish.
