Maggie Ruegena Tapley

Maggie Ruegena Tapley, age 70, of Stearns, Kentucky died Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

She was born in Smithtown, Kentucky on December 10, 1948 to Pearlie Mae Vaughn, grandfather, Ernie Vaughn and grandmother, Maggie Olie Vaughn. She had two brothers, Nolan Johnson from Stearns, Kentucky and wife, Sondra, and children Kelly and James and Jesse Sims from Revelo, Kentucky and companion Eve, and children Garret and Dustin.

Ruegena married George Tapley, Jr. and they had three children, Ralph Allen Tapley and wife, Anisa, and children Matthew, Rachel, Hannah, and Andrew; Tommy Lee Tapley and wife, Patricia, and children, Samantha, Stacy, Elizabeth, Thaddaeus, Isaac, Seth, and Anna; and Larry dale Tapley and wife, Melinda, and their twin girls, Dapheny Danielle and Amber Lashea. Dapheny married Richard King and two kids, Mckayla and Mckenzie, and Amber married Cody Perry, and had three kids, Christopher, Cody Dale, and Abby Lynn.

Funeral service will be 1pm Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the Hilltop Baptist Church. Burial to follow in the Watters Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11am Thursday at the Church.
