Mack Slaven

Mack Roger Slaven, age 82, of Stearns, Kentucky, passed away at the Park West Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee on Sunday, August 6, 2023. 
Mack was born in Smithtown, Kentucky to the late Parker Slaven and the late Florence Tucker on March 28, 1941. He enjoyed rabbit hunting and hanging out with his friend Lowell at the Dolen Farm at Rock Creek. He loved spending time with his family and his church family and the visits that they shared with him.  
He is preceded in death by: his parents; his wife Illa Jane (Haynes), his son, Micheal Wade Slaven; his brother, Nathan Slaven; his sisters Vina Ramsey, and Gloria Hughes. and his best friend since fifth grade, Lowell Dolen. 
Mack is survived by: his son, Scott Slaven (Barb), of Loudon, TN; his brothers, Parker Slaven Jr., of Cincinnati, OH, Leland Slaven, of Whitley City, KY; his sisters, Thressa Dolen of Stearns Ky. Patricia King of Stearns Ky. Wanda Lawrence, of Cincinnati, OH, Cedith Ford, of Corbin, KY, Katheryn Crabtree, of Cincinnati, OH;
There will be a graveside funeral service for Mack at 12:00pm EST on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at the Spradlin Cemetery in Stearns, Kentucky.
