Luther "Luke" Lawrence Ball

Luther “Luke” Ball age 69 of Whitley City, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, Tennessee.

He was born on September 17, 1952 in Holly Hill, Kentucky to the late Andy Ball and Reba (Towe) Ball. In addition to his parents, Luke is preceded in death by brothers, Paul Daniel Ball, infant Freddie Ball, and Billy Ray Ball, sisters, Mary Alene Ball Meadows and infant Sarah Ball, and a grandchild, Krista Walker.

Surviving family include his wife, Imogene (Terry) Ball whom he married in April of 1979; children, Bobby Walker (and Jan) and Rita Baker (and Eddie); a brother, Gene Arthur Ball; a sister, Imogene Ball King; grandchildren, Eric Walker, Lisa Walker (and Caswell Sexton), and Sarah Walker; and great-grandchildren, Renee Pounder, Kaitlyn, Destiny, and Kadence Walker. 

Luke was a Logger before he was disabled. He enjoyed playing his guitar and visiting with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by everyone that knew and loved him. 

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Silerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday after 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home.
