Luke Moore

Mr. Luke Moore, age 54 of East Hwy. 92 in Pine Knot, passed away on Thursday December 4, 2008 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

Funeral services will be Monday at 12 noon in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Jellico Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6-9pm at the funeral home.

He was born in Pine Knot on January 19, 1954 to the late James and Alice Bryant Moore. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 3 brothers, Jay, Leroy and Willard Moore, and a sister, Mary Ellen Moore.

Survivors include 3 brothers; James Edward Moore, of Northport, AL, Bill Moore of Strunk, and Bobby Moore of Indianapolis, IN. 7 sisters: Maudie McGill of Clinton, TN, Margaret Brierly, Pine Knot, Margie Van Osdol of Morrow, OH, Geraldine Moore and Bessie Moore, both of Pine Knot, Shirley Morgan of Durango, CO, and Judy Meadows, Indianapolis, IN.

Luke was a wonderful smiling face and loved all people. He collected Hot Wheels cars and pencils and has thousands of them.

Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family of Mr. Luke Moore in his funeral arrangements.
