Mr. Loring “Bill” Meadors, passed from this life on Friday, December 12, 2014, at the McCreary Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pine Knot, Kentucky. He had attained the age of 76 years, 5 months and 3 days.
Bill was born on Marsh Creek in McCreary County, Kentucky, on July 9, 1938. He was the son of the late Elmon and Fannie (Lawson) Meadors. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Elmon Meadows, Jr. and an infant sister; Frankie Meadors.
Surviving family include a daughter Connie Hardwick of Winfield, Tennessee, a brother Paul Meadors of Peebles, Ohio, two sisters; Margie Hamlin of Cincinnati, Ohio and Helen Rixner of Glendale, Ohio, two grandchildren; Mark and Matthew Phillips of Oneida, Tennessee, and a special nephew David Farris of Toledo, Ohio.
Bill was a farmer and had worked as a high lift operator for the paper mill yard in Pine Knot. He had attended the Hayes Creek Church of God.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Old Jellico Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12 noon until time for services.
Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
