Lorene Perkins Davis age 81 of Whitley City, Kentucky passed from this life on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland, Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

She was born July 24, 1942 in Stearns, Kentucky to the late Earl Perkins and Lola Helen (Hamlin) Perkins.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Robert Kenneth Davis; a brother, Harold Perkins; and a sister, Dorene Murphy.

Surviving family include her children, Paul Derrick Davis and Lily Worley; four grandchildren, Brittany Trammell, Brandon Worley, Alyssa Davis, and Devin Davis; six great grandchildren, AJ Trammell, Brynnlee Trammell, Jackson Trammell, Abby Trammell, Cambell Greene, and one on the way; and sisters, Barbara Perry and Maxine Tucker.

Lorene was of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed crafting, dancing, and working outside. She loved her family and spending time with them, especially for holidays and birthdays. She loved cake and ice cream with the grandchildren. Lorene will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. We trust that our earthly loss is her eternal gain.

A private family service was held at graveside on Friday, May 31, 2024 at the Pleasant Run Cemetery with words of comfort by Rev. Stanley Taylor.

Pine Knot Funeral Home assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
