Lois King, age 85, of Pine Knot, passed away Friday, February 5, 2016, at the daughter’s home in Eubank, Kentucky.
Funeral services will on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Landon Sexton, Bill King, and Rev. David Carr officiating. She will be laid to rest at the King Meadows Cemetery in Pine Knot.
Born March 12, 1930, in Pine Knot, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Lark and Mary (Hamlin) Ball. Also preceding her in death was her husband Gaylon King whom she married February 18, 1948; brothers William Everett, Arthur, and Bobby C. Ball and sister Faye Ball.
Surviving family include her daughter Kathy King of Eubank; brothers Glenn Ball and wife Bonnie, Don L. Ball and wife Betty, Leamon Ball and wife Linda, Archie Ball all of Pine Knot, Ronald Ball and wife Reva of Strunk; Virgie King and husband Dean of Pine Knot, Dorella Waters of Somerset, Bonnie Sue Marcum and husband Ralph of Pine Knot, and Betty and husband Jim of Purduccah; grandson Jonathan Manning of Eubank; granddaughter Mikayla Dixon and husband Robert of Science Hill; two great grandchildren Jace and Rhylan Dixon of Science Hill. Lois is also survived many nephews and nieces.
Lois was a member of the Meadows Grove Baptist Church, a homemaker of her own home and worked in the family business King's Slaughter House. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and playing with her great grand babies and family time.
