LEONARD LEE GREGORY

Mr. Leonard Lee Gregory age 72 of Stearns, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday March 20, 2010 at his home.

Funeral services will be Monday at 8pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Duncan and Bro. Jeff Brown officating. Burial services will be Tuesday at 2pm at the Silerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday after 5 until time for services at the funeral home.

He was born in Pine Knot on February 5, 1938. He was the son of the late Carl Perkins and Vertie Gregory. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Marion and Florence Taylor Gregory who raised him. Also preceding him is a son, Robin Lee Gregory, a sister Phyllis Bowling and a grandson Joshua Earl Grundy.

Survivors include his daughter Shonda Gregory of Stearns. Magdalene Stephens Gregory Wilson his former wife and close friend. There are 4 brothers, Harold, Leamon and Bob Spradlin all of Strunk and Jack Spradlin of Pine Knot. 6 sisters, Joyce Privett, Bonnie Stephens and Kathy Stephens all of Strunk. Juanita Stephens of Sydney, Ohio, Deanna King of Somerset and his special sister Wanda Stephens of Winfield, TN. There are 5 grandchildren, Jerry Wade and Russell Lee Grundy, Tracy Gregory and Wilbert Leonard Lee Gregory, and 2 step grandchildren, Chris and Jerry Posey.There are 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his good friend, Chester "Chet" Ross.

Leonard enjoyed fishing and attending church as well as his friends and family. He will surely be sadly missed by those that knew and loved him.
