LENA VICEY THOMPSON

Lena Vicey Thompson, age 61, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away Monday, September 24, 2012, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Larry FultS officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Mt. View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 a€" 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born May 13, 1951 in McCreary County, she was the daughter of Joe Ed Murphy and Bertha Bell Abbott. She is preceded in death by her father, her husband Vernon Thompson, a daughter Jo Lynn Thompson, two brothers Willie Murphy and Denny Murphy and two sisters Martha and Bessie Bryant. She is survived by her mother Bertha Abbott of Stearns and a brother Milford Murphy of Tateville, Kentucky.

Vicey was a homemaker and member of the Mt. View Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing and camping.
